AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant is getting ready for winter

Energy and infrastructure facilities of AO “Omsky kauchuk” (part of GC Titan) are being actively prepared for the upcoming autumn and winter period.

One of the most important tasks within the preparation is the pressurization of the main and internal heating systems, which will ensure that these systems remain stable during the winter.  

Shut-off valves and calorifiers will be replaced, and heating units will be cleaned. These types of work will be done to improve technical conditions of the energy facilities’ infrastructure.

Every year before the winter season, the main and auxiliary equipment is maintained by the workers of a thermal power plant of AO “Omsky kauchuk”. Within the preparation for the heating season, partial replacement of heating surfaces and boiler linings was carried out at the TTP. In addition, overhaul of the turbine generator and modernization of the boiler plant is underway: 2 network pumps were purchased, as well as a thermal imager to identify defective sections of pipelines.

“In the company and at the TTP, the traditional preparations for winter have already begun. The purpose is to ensure that all the plant’s divisions will operate as scheduled under heavy workload, as the number of steam consumers and district heating customers will increase. I should note that our own TTP, running on natural gas, was installed at AO “Omsky kauchuk” in 2005 and allowed us not only to reduce energy dependence on external sources, but to significantly reduce economic expenses,” General Director of the company Sergey Ivanilov said.

The TTP of AO “Omsky kauchuk” is one of the most important facilities equipping the company’s workshops. The plant’s power capacity is 36 MW for electricity and 415.5 Gcal/hour for heat.
