Construction works are commenced at cumene production facility of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk»

Pursuant to the procedure established under the legislation the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» (forms a part of the Group of Companies «Titan») obtained permit for construction of facilities within the framework of the project of cumene production facilities reconstruction and arrangement of isopropyl alcohol production.

The document was issued by Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Omsk Administration.

Works on implementation of the project provided for under the obtained permit has already been commenced. Specialists of the plant started re-laying of existing utilities at the cumene production facility site of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk».

In February, the project obtained positive opinion of Chief Directorate of State Expert Review, which was entered into the Uniform State Register of Expert Review Opinions on Capital Facilities Design Documentation.

«Bashgiproneftechim» LLC — one of the largest relevant companies in Russia engaged in integrated design of oil and gas refining, petrochemical and chemical enterprises — is general designer of the project.

Next delivery of core process equipment for the project including heat-exchange machines and vessels is expected in late May.

The project for the reconstruction of cumene production facilities at «Omsky kauchuk» plant implemented by the Group of Companies «Titan» provides for an increase in production output by 33%. It represents the second stage of plan on complex retrofitting of the company's production facilities. Distinctive feature of the reconstruction is transition of the production facilities to more modern and eco-friendly alkylation process based on zeolite catalyst which excludes formation of effluents and complies with the principle of best available technologies.
