«Omsky kauchuk» plant introduces regional staffing standard

«Omsky kauchuk» plant (member of the Group of Companies «Titan») improves its strategy for staffing its existing and projected industrial enterprises. In July, the petrochemical company signed a cooperation agreement for introduction of a regional standard in this sphere.

Center of Vocational Education and Psychological Support of Population of Omsk region became new partner of the enterprise. Representatives of the plant will take part in special events arranged by the Omsk Center: create professional trial programs and conduct professional expeditions, as well as make presentations at thematic forums, events, practical sessions, and discussion platforms.

The agreement with the Omsk Center was concluded as part of the framework cooperation agreement in the field of personnel training signed in April this year between the largest petrochemical enterprise of the Group of Companies «Titan», the regional Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Industry, as well as universities — Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin and Omsk State Technical University.

Projects for the development of the industrial estate, creation of advanced petrochemical production facilities and new high-performance jobs implemented by the Group of Companies «Titan» require new solutions in the field of staffing. Therefore, «Omsky kauchuk», as one of the largest employers in Omsk region, joined the project for introduction of a regional staffing standard for enhancing the industrial growth. The project is intended to formalize communication between government bodies and employers and is aimed to create conditions for providing the industry and economy of the region with the necessary staff — highly skilled workers (5-6 grades), engineering and technical personnel.

«We hope that the involvement of relevant ministries and educational institutions as part of multilateral agreements will help make the staff training procedure more systematic. We are ready to share experience of interaction with secondary education institutions and vocational schools. The company conducts tours to the production site, organizes presentations and meetings with successful employees of the plant; our employees have become certified experts in the field of practical tests (demo exams, World Skills championships); we accept students for all types of practices, provide training opportunities for teachers», said Nadezhda Tolmacheva, HR Manager of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk».

These activities bring their results: last year, about 100 secondary and higher educational institutions graduates of 2018 were employed by the enterprise as workers and engineers, and in June this year, the plant's staff was replenished with 10 graduates of 2019.
