On June 17, the guests of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum at the stand of #MYVMESTE were presented with eco-boxes from the Eco-Saturday project. Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications of the AO GC Titan and Snezhana Ermolaeva, Director for Communications of Titan-Polymer LLC, talked about the reasons to include such sets in the educational lectures. The authors of the project also announced the start of the Russia-wide partner program.
“In cooperation with industrial enterprises, implementing their corporate social responsibility programs, we are ready to replicate the idea of using eco-boxes. Now we are looking for partners to develop the project - these are Russian companies - manufacturers who are ready to supply new components to eco-sets. Moreover, we are ready to cooperate with those, who are engaged in landscape design and development of public areas - it is necessary for implementation of eco-spaces, - Alina Rybina said. - It is already the case that 8 Russian companies have taken part in eco-box development. We are sure that our idea is able to unite many industrial enterprises”
The eco-box includes a shopper, fruit and vegetable baggies, a water bottle, a thermal mug and a set with appliances made from natural materials. The eco-boxes are available in two versions - children's and general. The children's version is complemented by a reusable lunchbox and an eco-habit book. All items are made from natural or recycled materials, e. g. secondary raw materials.
“Everything included in this set helps to keep useful environmental habits - to shop consciously, to refuse disposable tableware and disposable things, and to reduce the amount of household waste. Careful attitude to the environment starts with healthy habits,” Snezhana Ermolaeva noted.
We would like to add that the Eco-Saturday project consists of three stages: an educational program on forming eco-saving habits, creation of eco-spaces, and development of eco-entrepreneurship. At present, the authors of "Eco-Saturday" have started to implement the second stage of the project, which involves the creation of ecological space in Pskov region. Experts and eco-activists are now working on an architectural plan for the eco-space, developing 3D visualisation of eco-locations, and conducting public opinion surveys.
