Titan will assist in creating modern ecological areas in Pskov

The Group of companies Titan supported the initiative to create ecological areas in Pskov.  Modern “green” areas will appear at the Pskov State University campus and in the Korytovsky forest park.

The new eco-infrastructure will assist in preserving the biological diversity of local flora and fauna, and also in minimizing anthropogenic impact through the use of technologies and design solutions.

“Now people are striving to create clean corners, to use nature-like, nature-oriented technologies. People understand that this is important. The more we preserve the environment, the more we preserve our health. Ecological areas will allow to gradually direct people’s thinking into an ecological channel,” remarked Tatyana Vasilyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Geography, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Head of the Youth Policy Department of Pskov State University.

The ecological arears also fulfill the function of educational projects. Visitors will be able to learn about the natural diversity of the city and region, become familiar with environmental innovations, ideas of sustainable development and environmental protection.

Besides, the ecological areas may become important points of economic growth in Pskov, platforms for the implementation of ecological startups of small and medium-scale business enterprises.

“We see our task in creating area, which are attractive for ecological partners, that are ready to make their own contribution to the development of these territories, jointly solve the environmental education problems,” said Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications of the Group of companies Titan.

Pskov entrepreneurs are also ready to support the initiative in creating the ecological areas,” said Stanislav Osovsky, head of the “Delovaya Rossiya” Pskov branch, General Director of Pskovplast LLC.

“Such points are absolutely necessary,” he stressed. “The ecological area task is to develop the ecological thinking. In this connection Pskov acts as an advanced development center. It is very pleasant to directly deal with things that in the future will set the trend in other cities.”
