Pskov Newsline: Gazprombank highly appreciated the construction progress of “Titan-Polymer”

In August Gazprombank OJSC and “Titan-Polymer” LLC signed the financing agreement on construction of the plant for BOPET film and PET pellets production in the special economic zone Moglino.

We would like to remind, the volume of financing under the loan contract for the term of 10 years is more than 12.8 billion rubles. To strengthen their partnership on the 22^nd of September Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AO GC Titan personally acquainted Aleksey Belous, Gazprombank OJSC Deputy Chairman of the Board with the progress of the project “Titan-Polymer” LLC, as the correspondent of Pskov Newsline reports.

Creating new history

Aleksey Belous, Gazprombank OJSC Deputy Chairman of the Board visited the building under construction for BOPET films first line production. As a result of the tour, AO GC Titan Chairman of the Board of Directors Mikhail Sutyaginsky declared that it was rather a large-scale project requiring great capital investments.

“We are thankful to Gazprom, its directorate for support of the suggested project,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky thanked the Board Chairman of the credit institution.

The AO GC Titan Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized that Gazprombank was considered for the moment as the Russian Federation leader in sphere of project financing arrangement.

“We are very pleased to be highly appreciated by the leader and to be approved for getting the credit line that will definitely have a positive effect on the region development and first of all on job gain,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky mentioned. According to his words highly qualified staff will “create here new history” in the field of manufacturing.

Goods for food purposes, light industry and for other aspects would be manufactured here, AO GC Titan Chairman of the Board of Directors reminded. “For example, for microelectronics. And these types of process require certain   cleanliness,” he said and draw attention to the fact that the staff of the plant would be provided with all necessary individual protective equipment (working in industrial overcoats, head-dress and shoe protectors).   

“We will produce the unique polymer that does not react with any other polymers and substances,” he continued. “And up to 25% of waste will be utilized here.”

Mikhail Sutyaginsky explained that the best technologies would be implemented in this complex and production capability of the enterprise would reach the European level. “It also indicates wage level that will appear here, as well as tax volume that will come to the region,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky added.

The GC Titan is justly considered to be the major taxpayer in all regions of its presence, where it builds up its production facilities.

“I am sure “Titan-Polymer” will be the major taxpayer in the Pskov region,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky said.                                                                               Personnel issues.

The staff consisting of 30 persons would be non-resident as the complex logistics was concentrated in Pskov region, Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted. They will qualify new personnel, as well as control the project entering into industrial capacity. The head of the GC stated that it was necessary to transfer skills and experience for young staff so that they could manage “such a complicated enterprise” independently.

“We should get world-class quality,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky continued. Otherwise, we will not be able to compete in export. We have obligations towards the Ministry of Industry and Trade that 30% of the products from these capacities will be turned for sale abroad. Sure, we must confirm this quality.” “The staff without work experience in such production will not be able to reach immediate high productivity,” he specified. “That’s why experienced specialists of the Group of Companies will work at the Pskov plant until the hired personnel receive attestation and necessary qualification.

Everything is for successful work

The impression of what we have seen today is the best, as Aleksey Belous, Gazprombank OJSC Deputy Chairman of the Board acknowledged.

“Sure, we are satisfied with the result,” he remarked. “It’s not the first project we are implementing with the Group of companies Titan. High-quality work and projects implementation earlier than the agreed deadline has always distinguished the company. We see the company works to the highest standard”.             According to his words the company can construct, bring into service and exploit. “Not all the companies have such a powerful constructional component,” Aleksey Belous cleared.

The GC Titan, as he specified, had everything for successful work. “We have discussed when this complex will be started up and the terms are impressive in general,” he added.

The first line of the BOPET-film production is planned to be started in the test mode by the end of this year. The second line will be launched by the middle of 2021.
